| - [Résumé en anglais]The subject of this thesis is an interrogation on the contitution of the nation and the citizenship in Argentina centred on the political thought of Domingo F Sarmiento (1811-1888). It seeks to elucidate the specific constitution itself problematic of the nation, the republic and the citizenship under post-colonial conditions. The thesis emphasizes the civic idea of nation and aims to restore, from a philosophical point of view, the thought of Sarmiento as it is given at the same time as a historical analysis, a theory and a political practice and a philosophy of the nation. It analyzes the tensions of its concepts, the language and the logic of its questions, and the coherence of its argumentations. Concerning the assumptions on the republican aspects of Sarmiento, it studies the philosophical dimension of dialectical between citizenship, foreigners and nationality. It also seeks of seizing the actuality of this problems at the present of the construction of modern Argentina.
- [Résumé en français]Le sujet de cette thèse est une interrogation sur la formation de la nation et de la citoyenneté en Argentine centrée sur la pensée politique de Domingo F. Sarmiento (1811-1888). Elle cherche à élucider la constitution spécifique elle-même problématique de la nation, de la république et de la citoyenneté dans des conditions post-coloniales. La thèse met en valeur l'idée de nation civique et vise a restituer, a partir d'un point de vue philosophique, la pensée de Sarmiento en tant qu'elle se donne à la fois comme une analyse historique, une théorie et une pratique politique et une philosophie de la nation. Elle analyse les tensions de ses concepts, la langue et la logique de ses questionnements, et la cohérence de ses argumentations. Concernant les hypothèses sur les aspects républicains de Sarmiento, elle étudie la dimension philosophique de la dialectique entre citoyenneté, étrangers et nationalité. Il s'agit aussi de saisir le présent du passé et le passé au présent de la construction de l'Argentine moderne.
