| - Au croisement de l’anthropologie politique, historique, culturelle et sociale, l’étude traite d’une culture spécifique de « l’esprit du combat » dans le contexte d’une technologie culturelle de tradition secrète (ninjutsu). Depuis que Marcel Mauss (1968) a démontré qu’une technique du corps (nager, courir, accoucher) varie selon la culture, on peut dire qu’une technique de combat comme le ninjutsu est une production sociale variable selon la civilisation qui l’utilise et la transforme. La thèse traite d’une question centrale : celle de la mutation d’une technologie culturelle du combat et sa fonction civilisatrice (Elias, 1974, 1975). C’est notre théorie du ninjutsu comme technologie culturelle en évolution. Nous avons démontré que cette culture est moins incarnée dans l’espace local d’une pratique japonaise du ninjutsu que dans l’espace global d’une pratique universelle de l’esprit du combat que l’on nomme « nin ». L’art de (se) gouverner influe sur la transformation du ninjutsu comme agent stabilisant ou déstabilisant de l’organisation sociale. Le ninjutsu en tant que culture subtile du combat s’adapte à la structure sociale de l’époque qui le porte. Nous suivons les théories de la trifonctionnalité (Dumézil, 1941) et de l’évolution pour étudier la mutation d’une technologie culturelle (Cresswell, 1996). L’Occident contemporain hérite maintenant de tout ce savoir technique recyclé en un concept d’éducation d’une maîtrise du soi (nindô). Ce nouvel état d’esprit du combat constitue une nouvelle forme à penser et à pratiquer le ninjutsu pour les temps à venir.
- Within the crossing of political, historical, cultural and social anthropology, the study contains knowledge relating to societies, groups and communities having behaviours and beliefs that we call the “secrecy of the martial arts”. Since Marcel Mauss (1968) showed that a technical of body (swim, run, and give birth) varies by culture, we can say that a fighting technique as ninjutsu is a social production that varies according to the civilization that uses them and transforms it. The thesis relates to a central question: the transform of cultural technology of the fight and its civilizing function (Elias, 1974, 1975). This is our theory of ninjutsu as cultural technology in constant mutation in space and history of civilizations. Therefore, we demonstrated this culture less embodied in local field of Japanese practice as we spell “ninjutsu” than in global field of fighting spirit we spell “nin”. The art of governing nations affects the process of ninjutsu as stabilizing or destabilizing agent of social organization. We follow the theories of trifunctionality (Dumézil, 1941) and evolution to study the mutation of cultural technology (Cresswell, 1996). The contemporary Occident inherits now all this technical knowledge recycled in a concept of education for self-control in the nindô. This new status of mind constitutes a new form to think and practice the ninjutsu for the future.
