| - Le roman africain anglophone publié pendant les années 60 et 70 aborde le thème de la folie avec ingéniosité. Notre investigation littéraire s’intéresse d’abord aux conceptions de la folie révélées par les romans tout en essayant de dévoiler les caractéristiques des personnages qui en sont atteints. Par ailleurs, nous mettons en lumière les griefs des auteurs, à travers la subtilité des textes, qui imputent à la colonisation et au néo-colonialisme la responsabilité de l’effondrement psychique de leurs personnages. Enfin, nous nous penchons sur la fonction thérapeutique de ces œuvres qui puisent largement dans l���héritage culturel africain et occidental. Le corpus d’étude est composé d’œuvres qui représentent parfaitement le continent africain : Arrow of God (Achebe), A Grain of Wheat (Ngugi), This Earth My brother…(Awoonor), Fragments (Armah), A Question of Power (Head).
- The African novel of English expression published during the 60’s and the 70’s tackles the theme of madness creatively. Our literary investigation is first focused on the meanings of madness in literary texts and the characteristics of characters suffering from it. Then we highlight the grievances of the authors, through the subtlety of their texts, as they hold colonialism and neo colonialism responsible for the psychic disintegration of their main protagonists. At last, we put out the therapeutic function of these literary works which draws largely from the African and European cultural heritage. The corpus is made of works perfectly representing the African continent: Arrow of God (Achebe), A Grain of Wheat (Ngugi), This Earth, My Brother… (Awoonor), Fragments (Armah), A Question of Power (Head).
