| - Cette thèse, basée sur un corpus d'enregistrements transcrits et traduits, s'attache à reconstituer l'imaginaire social reflété et véhiculé par la poésie épique transmise et interprétée oralement par des bardes de caste intouchable dans l'extrême ouest népalais (récits Bharat). Après avoir introduit la région d'enquête et l'identité des interprètes, puis mené une étude stylistique et comparative des propriétés formelles de ce genre semi-improvisé, une analyse thématique du contenu des récits (qui glorifient, quelque peu à l'écart de préoccupations religieuses, les conduites de héros ambigus) montre comment les bardes sont porteurs d'une vision du monde turbulente et sarcastique. Pour illustrer de biais la fonction éminemment cathartique remplie par cette poésie orale, on présente également un autre répertoire, non spécialisé, de chants alternés à teneur essentiellement lyrique (Deuda). La thèse, choisissant de rejoindre dans une problématique esthétique les multiples voies qu'elle a pratiquées en chemin (entre l'anthropologie de l'imaginaire et l'analyse \"littéraire\"), s'achève sur un questionnement réflexif sur la notion de catharsis et son utilisation en anthropologie.
- This thesis, based on transcribed and translated recordings, analyses the social imagination carried and mirrored by oral epic poetry (Bharat narratives), performed and transmitted by owner caste bards in far western Nepal. After introducing the regional setting and the identity of performers, and conduced a comparative and stylistic study of the formal aspects of this semi-improved genre, a thematic analysis of the narratives' contents (glorifying, somewhat out of religious concerns, the behaviour of ambiguous heroes), shows how the bards carry a boisterous and sarcastic vision of the world. In order to illustrate indirectly the cathartic function of this oral poetry, another repertoire is represented: alternate songs (deuda), mainly lyrical. The many paths followed by this thesis (between anthropology of imagination and \"literally\" analysis) come together into an aesthetic reflexion, around the concept of catharsis and its use in anthropology.
