- In a first part, this work is related to the study of molecular compounds with magnetic properties. The magnetic structure of these materials could be modelled by a two dimensional spin network associated with the magnetic ions in the organic matrix. In order to calculate the various thermodynamic quantities we use Monte Carlo numerical methods and high temperature expansions. In a second part we are interested in systems with phases characterised by a non uniform order parameter. More precisely, we deal with the incommensurable phase in CuGeO₃ (the so called spin-Peierls transition). We also study the FFLO phase in superconductors for the paramagnetic limit and the localised states which appears near defaults in phase transition to an helicoidal magnetic state. The results were obtained with the help of numerical DMRG technique and also with the Ginzburg-Landau approach.
