note	En odontologie, l’occluso dontie se concentre sur l’étude des rapports occlusaux ainsi que sur les troubles inhérents à l’Articulation Temporo-Mandibulaire (ATM). Cette thèse a pour objectif de mettre en évidence l’existence potentielle d’une relation entre le guide incisif et l’ATM. Après avoir rappelé des généralités anatomiques et fonctionnelles concernant l’ATM et l’occlusion, les caractéristiques d’un guide incisif non pathologique puis celles d’un guide incisif anormal seront abordées. Enfin, en s’appuyant sur plusieurs études, la relation entre le guide incisif et l’ATM sera analysée. L’exemple de la Classe II division 2 permettra de se rendre compte de la potentielle relation entre les contacts antérieurs et leur influence sur l’ATM In dentistry, occlusodontics focuses on the study of occlusal relationships and disorders inherent in the Temporo-Mandibular Joint (TMJ). The aim of this thesis is to highlight the potential existence of a relationship between the incisal guide and the TMJ. After reviewing the general anatomical and functional aspects of TMJ and occlusion, the characteristics of a non-pathological incisal guide will be discussed, followed by those of an abnormal incisal guide. Finally, based on several studies, the relationship between the incisal guide and TMJ will be analysed. The example of Class II Division 2 will illustrate the potential relationship between anterior contacts and their influence on TMJ
