La biodiversité est fortement menacée par l’agriculture et fournit pourtant les services écosystémiques indispensables à une agriculture durable. L’objectif de cette thèse est de comprendre l’impact de l’intensification de l’agriculture sur la structuration de la biodiversité et sur le fonctionnement des agro-écosystèmes, afin de proposer des pratiques agricoles en faveur d’une agriculture durable. D’une part, une étude expérimentale suggère un rôle important de la diversité phénotypique des cultures à l’échelle infra-parcellaire dans la structuration des communautés d’arthropodes. D’autre part, l’étude d’un double gradient d’intensification (d’intensité des pratiques et de diversité du paysage) montre que les perturbations locales et la fragmentation des habitats naturels sont responsables d’une perte de diversité spécifique non aléatoire en fonction des traits fonctionnels, qui peut affecter les services écosystémiques mutualistes comme la pollinisation. Biodiversity loss is often considerable in agroecosystems. Yet, agricultural production relies greatly upon biodiversity and ecosystem services, which are essential to agricultural sustainability. The goal of this thesis is to understand the impact of agricultural intensification on biodiversity and agroecosystem functioning. This knowledge is then used to recommend more sustainable agricultural practices. First a fine-scale experimental study suggests a significant role of crop phenotypic diversity at the field-scale for arthropod community structure. Second, the study of two intensification gradients (intensity of farming practices and landscape diversity) shows that local disturbance and fragmentation of natural habitats are responsible for a non-random loss of species diversity depending on biological traits, with consequences on mutualistic ecosystem services such as pollination.
